Thousands of deaths caused by starvation in Somalia
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the U.N., or "FAO", asked for an additional 120 million dollars in aid for Northeastern Africa, 70 million to be sent to Somalia and 50 million to Ethiopia, Kenya, Djibouti and Uganada. The U.N. agency of refugees states that close to 40% of Somalia's children who reach Dadaab suffer from malnutrition. During the first four months of this year, more children died here than in the entire previous year.
